They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, Regan Cooper, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he's about to become a father.
Demon-slayer Regan Matthews never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted-a family.

1st line in book--> Regan Matthews was going to die.
I have to say that I wasn't really
excited about starting Lethal Rider, well I was but not because of
our main Hero Thanatos. It was because It brought us closer to
Reseph's book and I hoped to see past characters. I LOVED Eternal
Rider! Ares's story blew my away, I loved every minute of it. I
couldn't wait for Limos's book! I mean she is Satan's bride, the only
Horsewoman, so girl power and all that jazz!!! When I finished
Immortal Rider I was a little let down. It was good but I wasn't in
love with it like Eternal Rider. So I didn't have that high
expectations for Than's book because: One- Throughout the previous
books, the bits that Than appeared didn't really interest me. He was
always closed off, serious.. not much to expect. Two- At the end of
Immortal Rider, his storyline seemed kinda predictable.
So I started reading Lethal Rider in
hopes that I would at least enjoy the book with all the other
storylines going on and.......OMG!!!!! I could not get enough of
Thanatos!!!After finishing the book in less than a day I take back
everything I said about Than not being interesting!! I still love
Ares but I LOVE Than more! His story starts right where we are left
off. He is awakening from his paralyzed state, escapes and goes after
Regan for revenge. When SURPRISE!!! You're going to be a father!!!
From there, there are so many twists and complications that arise
from not just the apocalypse, but Than's past. There are also so side
stories of Reaver, Harvester, Kynan, the Seminus brothers and of
course the other Horsmen. At times I was so into Than, that I just
wanted to rush through all the other side stories. LOL
Thanatos and Regan are great together.
They each have their own demons that they live with. Than has a major
secret he has kept since he was cursed. Because of his explosive
rages that kill everything in the vicinity, Than has convinced
himself that he will always be alone . His one dream, if he were a
different man, would be to be able to have a wife and family. Regan
has also always been alone. She is the child of a human mother and a
demon possessed father. Which is how she received her deadly powers.
Regan's power kills those she touches if she loses control. So much
like Than, she has always been alone. Taking on as many tasks for the
Guardians so she can feel needed in some way. These two people are
then going to have a baby and it the journey they take together that I thought was a refreshing and emotional ride. I loved every minute!
Overall It was a can't-put-it-down
story. You can't help but think about it, even when you HAVE to put
it down! Thanatos is my favorite Horseman now, I love him. I'm sooo
happy for that unexpected surprise. I will be rereading over and over
again until we get Rogue Rider!!
Action, suspense, heart tugging romance and humor is everywhere in Lethal Rider and it was everything I wanted as a fan of the Lords of Deliverance books. This is not a series you want to read out of order. Go back and start with book one, which was good but my least favorite of the bunch but necessary if you want to completely understand what's going on with the rest of the books in the series.
