Interview/Giveaway: Author Carrie Ann Ryan

Tour Stop!!! Today on the blog, we have the lovely Carrie Ann Ryan. She was happy to do an interview promoting her new book Trinity Bound!! A yummy shifter tale with some hot loving!! [Warning the book is m/f/m]

Tell us a little about yourself!

Hi! Thank you so much for having me here today. I’m a chemist by day and a paranormal romance writer, wife, and kitten-mother by night.

With the release of your new book Trinity Bound, can you tell followers a little about it?

Trinity Bound is the third book of the Redwood Pack series that follows the middle son, Reed. Reed is an artist who can fight, but doesn’t want to unless he has to. He finds his mate in a fellow captive, Hannah. However, it is Josh, a human Finder, who is the one to save them. When the three are together it is revealed that they are all mates and must learn to deal with it…or walk away.

What is your creative muse? Do you listen to music or have a certain ritual that needs to be done?

I have music on in the background. But usually I close my eyes and figure out what my character wants to say. I’m a huge plotter however.

How was the writing process? Are you a visual writer or do the characters 'speak' to you?

It’s a little of both. I figure out where I am in terms of plot and then the characters talk like real people. It’s more of me having an imaginary life inside my head LOL.

What are your favorite Paranormal beings? (vamps, shifters etc.)

I’m a shifter girl. LOL. I write about werewolves in this series, but I have shifters, angels, fae, mermen, dragons, and others in my other series. I used to be a vamp girl, but I don’t write them. Only love them from afar.

What are 3 words you would use to describe Trinity Bound??

Emotional, sexy, connected

Did you know you always wanted to be a writer??

No. I was a reader first, but then writing came to me later. I’m so happy it did.

What was the most difficult part(s) you encountered when writing Trinity Bound?

Making sure all three people had individual time, time as couples, and time as a threesome. LOL. And, no, not just sex, but actual backstories and such.

Who has been your best or favorite character to write and why?

Maddox. I know, I know. I’m not supposed to choose. But I can’t help it. *sigh* I can’t wait to write him fully and I dread it LOL

A la twitter style.. using only 140 characters, describe Trinity Bound!!

He came to save them, but they may be the ones to save him.

Do you have any other projects coming up? Do you know how many will be in this series?

The Redwood Packs series will be seven books with at least one extra novella. A Night Away, is a Mel and Kade novella (the couple from book 1), and will be out May 1st. I wanted to give y’all a little taste after the HEA and see how they are. Adam’s story is next and is called Enforcer’s Redemption. It should be out at the end of this year.

I’m also writing a seven book series called Dante’s Circle. It centers on a group of seven woman and the men they meet. In this world, humans are human. Though they don’t know it. Dust of My Wings is the first book and is out in July. It’s about Shade, a warrior angel, who comes to earth to find his angel dust and protect the supernatural secret. But a lab tech, Lily, may stand in his way.

Who is your favorite Paranormal Romance Author? Any specific books or series?

I have so many LOL. I’ve read over 5,000 books so I can never decide. But Nalini Singh is up there. LOVE LOVE LOVE her.

What is your favorite drink or food to have at a Party?!?!

I’m a popcorn or rice Krispy treat fan for snacks LOL. And I always have a Diet Coke when I write LOL. I’m too busy to party fully!

Thank you so much for having me here today!

Blurb:
Hannah Lewis, a rare earth witch, is taken from the only life she’s ever known. Held against her will by a sadistic wolf, she almost gives up hope that she’d ever see her real life again. But as her fellow captive, a werewolf named Reed, tries to calm her fears, she begins to feel a spark of something she never thought she’d feel – love. But is Reed, alone, enough to get her out of this dark basement so she can move on with her life?
Reed Jamenson, the artist of a werewolf Pack of Alpha males, knows instinctually that Hannah is his mate. Thus, despite their imprisonment, he will do all to protect her and then worry about their hearts. But is he strong enough to find a way for both of them to escape? And why does he feel as though something else is missing?
Josh Kolb, an ex-military human, stumbles upon Reed and Hannah and finds he must trust this new world of supernatural beings to survive. But that desire will lead the three to a triangle of attraction that will test the boundaries they all possess and its consequences in defeating the enemy. Can they all trust one another to save themselves and life as they know it? Even at the cost of their own hearts?
**EXCERPT**

Hannah put her hand on Josh’s arm, a jolt of electricity flashing between the two. She gasped and he held back the urge to do the same. She gave him a smile and he desperately wanted to brush the curls from her face, soothing the bruises that couldn’t hide her radiant beauty. Reed crouched behind her, still protective. He too was beautiful, his chiseled cheekbones pronounced against the shadowed, healing bruises.
Crap. He could understand thinking sexy thoughts about Hannah, but since when did he think males were attractive in any way? Either that weird connection confused him, or he really was falling for Reed. He didn’t know which one, if either, he wanted to be true.
Reed bent over Hannah to whisper to them both. “Camera.”
“Don’t worry about them now. We have about ten more minutes and then we’d have to worry.”
They both looked curious with a similar tilt of their heads, but didn’t say anything, merely nodding.
“Who are you?” Reed whispered, leaning closer.
“Josh.” Why the hell did he say his name? He was never a name, just a presence, on any other mission. Why did he want them to know his name? Know him? “I’m no one. Just a friend.”
“You’re human.” Hannah’s surprised gasp was still whispered.

  4. Love today's excerpt. Thanks for sharing.

When it comes to treats, I dislike both popcorn (gets stuck in my teeth) and rice krispy treats (again, tough on the teeth). I'm starting to think I have a tooth obsession...

  7. Hi Julianne! You may be lost if you read Trinity Bound before A Taste for a Mate. I mean, you'll get the story and the characters, but you might miss something. But you should be fine. From here on out, though, I'd read them all in order LOL

  8. Hi Carrie. I noticed you had said that you listen to music when you write. (I can't do that, I would start singing dancing along :)

What music helps to keep the creative juices flowing?
